Shakeology & Beachbody Coaching Compensation Plan

I am often asked to break down the compensation plan through Beachbody and since I'm sure other people are wondering the same thing, I'll spell it out below.  (It's pretty awesome) Everyone's goals can be different, some coaches are only in the business to earn a discount on Shakeology or even get it for free each month (My paycheck has covered the cost of Shakeology and any fitness programs I order since I started with Beachbody) Here's the breakdown for what it costs to become a coach and how much you can earn. The sign up cost is $39.95 - this includes your first month's business fees and business tools you get sent in the mail. If you sign up for a Challenge Pack this fee is waived.  A Challenge Pack is your choice of Shakeology and a fitness program together.  This fee is also waived/reimbursed for Active Military and their spouses. If you are a customer who's purchased a Challenge pack and you become a coach you can get reimbursed for that also. The only mandatory on-going cost is a monthly $15.95 - this covers everything from taking, processing, shipping orders, doing the accounting, customer service ect ect. (Plus you save $32.00 on your Shakeology each month when you become a coach so it is still cheaper to be a coach rather than signing up as a customer) How do you make money? As a coach you earn a 25% commission off anything purchased through your Beachbody sites.  The commission you earn depends on the product.  A bag of Shakeology is about a $32.00 commission, a Challenge Pack commission could be $40 - $100.  If you have two challengers join a Challenge with one of the cheaper  Challenge packs you could earn over $100.   Customers will also often choose auto-ship for Shakeology so they continue to feel amazing but you also continue to earn on it monthly. You get the shakeology commission each month when their order ships. Post 12 The great thing about the Shakeology commission is that it is not earned by building a team but by helping others get healthy and maintaining them as happy customers.  As your customers see their results they will also want to pass the love forward by helping friends and family.  This is a business of sharing and as your friends and team share and invite new customers and coaches, you'll start to build a residual team volume income. This is where you start to see a significant growth of income in the form of cycle bonuses. Team bonus cycles can go from $12 - $12,000 a week depending on your rank and volume.  Here's a great video breaking it down.. An Emerald Coach earns $12.00 per cycle bonus A Ruby Coach earns $16.00 per cycle bonus A Diamond Coach earns $18.00 per cycle bonus Here is the breakdown of earnings based on rank and averages.  This comes from the Team Beachbody Statement of Independent Coach earnings for the year ending in 2012 (it was the latest one I could find) Emerald: Low earnings: $14 Average: $3,353 High Earnings: $261,621 Ruby: Low Earnings: $1,869 Average: $11,011 High: $62,840 Diamond: Low earnings: $212 Average earnings: $18,175 High: $136,818 Star Diamond: Low earnings: $1,299 Average earnings: $90,746 High Earnings: $1,645,484 Believe it or not what sold me on the business was the discount on Shakeology but what keeps me in the business is the Star Diamond Potential. You see I value a thing called Freedom. Freedom to live a life by design. And not any design buy my own. I want to earn the type of income necessary to live a lifestyle my family enjoys and work the hours that I choose. Here's the mission of my team and the energy you can expect. Team Change takes pride and sees value in the journey taken to become happy, healthy, and reverse the trend of obesity. We understand and respect the struggle. We magnify each other's strengths and help strengthen our weaknesses. We use our strengths of encouragement, compassion, accountability, ambition, discipline and passion to inspire and motivate change for ourselves and others in thh direction of personal growth and financial freedom.  Being a Beachbody Coach is about creating a life that you'll love.  Being the healthiest version of yourself and helping others do the same. You cannot truly help others until you love and take care of yourself.
I can't tell you how strongly I believe in that.  I KNOW it to be true.  That we can all do great things and you can make amazing things happen in this business.  You can change the way health looks in your life, you can help people just like you work on getting healthier, while also helping others create financial freedom in their lives.  I've never seen a business like this in my life and I'm so grateful for the opportunity. What roles do you play and are you giving 100%?

I have several roles and each of them is equally important. At first you think “no way”, but each role is somehow related to and attributes to every other role. For instance, my role as a Business Woman contributes to my Engineering career because the personal development and team building I do as a Beachbody coach has rolled over into the way I conduct business as an Engineer. I am a better Engineer for it and it is reflecting in my paycheck, both engineering and Beachbody. My role as a Hard Core health conscious woman has attributed to the Fun Social Jenn because I look and feel better in my skin which allows me to feel more confident and outgoing. My dedication to being a good Furr Mommy and work ethic as an Electrical Engineer contribute to the health of my marriage because they are things that my husband admires about me and are at the core of why we fell in love. My role as a good wife contributes to my Beachbody Business because it keeps me focused. My husband is my partner. I count on the health of my marriage to keep me centered and on track. Otherwise my mind would wonder. It is important to identify all your roles and make sure you are giving 100% effort in all of them. If you slack off in one area because you do not find it as important as another, it will hurt your other roles whether you intend it to or not. There is a domino effect of failing in just one of your roles. Here is an example. Sometimes as people become parents, they begin to neglect their role as husband/wife. They are just trying to be an amazing mommy/daddy but being an amazing wife/husband is also very important especially since you are a role model for your children. Children learn what a healthy relationship looks like from YOU. If your marriage is not healthy, you will feel un appreciated and possibly depressed because at the end of the day children require lots of love and attention but don’t give it back until older. You are pretty much a slave to wiping drool and changing diapers for a few years. So if you are not receiving love and affection from your marriage partner this absolutely pours over into your job and friendships. It’s hard not to take it to work with you and with friends it’s likely all you can talk about or you are just not as social and fun because your mind is somewhere else. So be mindful of this domino effect and don’t take any role for granted and remember to be appreciative of the others in your life for the roles they play. Please share this so other people can be reminded as well.

Thigh Gap Prevents inner Thigh Chafing

Is inner thigh Gap a Big Deal? Heck yes it is!!!!!!!! Inner thigh Chafing is a very sensitive subject for a lot of women and even some men. For those of you that do not know what I am talking about, it is the resulting rash from inner thigh skin rubbing together under hot weather conditions. It can happen in cold weather but is much worse when it is hot due to sweating and moisture in the area. And it doesn't take long for a rash to appear. I can remember putting on a pair of shorts on a hot day and leaving for school after forgetting to rub baby powder on my inner thighs and being in pain all day after lunch. I would be too embarrassed to go to the nurses office and ask for band aids. I would just walk kinda funny with my legs as far apart as possible and try to avoid walking as much as possible until I got home. At that point, it is too late for preventative measures and its time to medicate and wait the week for the rash to scab up and  heal. Do any of these look familiar to you thigh chafing sufferers?   I speak from experience because I suffered from inner thigh rashes all summer long ever since I was in junior high. I would look forward to summer because it meant I could use my pool and quite honestly I can't stand cold weather. I am a tropical person, lol. None the less, the one thing I always hated about summer was wearing skirts and shorts. No matter what, when wearing a skirt, you were getting a rash unless you took preventative measures. As far as shorts, you could only avoid a rash if you got shorts long enough to cover the areas that would rub. Does this look familiar? I learned to accept that this was just a part of my life and that I could not buy the cute shorts that I really wanted to wear. And if I did and happened to be good about using baby powder and keeping the inner thigh area dry, I always had bunching of the shorts between my thighs. I looked like the fat pockets on the top of my inner thighs were trying to escape my shorts, ugh!!!! I would be constantly pulling them down and they would eventually be all wrinkled between the thighs and just looked really bad. I knew that my problem was that I had no thigh gap. This is what my thighs looked like. So I started researching Thigh Gap and found my future Beachbody Coach's blog. She had achieved an amazing transformation with a workout called Brazilian Butt Lift. That was enough for me, I purchased it. It arrived at my house within a week and I hit it hard. I followed the workout calendar and nutrition plan and really enjoyed the workouts. There is a lot of booty shaking and I really like dancing so this was a perfect workout for me because I was not bored with it. I started to see and feel results after a few weeks and I remember getting crazy excited the first time I could see a hint of light between my thighs. It started at the very top and was very faint but damn it, it was happening. I completed the program and finally got my thigh gap. 4_4_13 (3) I have since moved on to other Beachbody workouts but I always incorporate this workout into my routine  because I have proven that it works. I have spent hours on eliptical machines at the gym and tried countless diets but this is what did it for me. Thank you Brazil Butt Lift!!!! Weight loss is not easy. Engineer or Bombshell?

Sometimes I feel like Batman!!! I am an Electrical Engineer by day and Beachbody Bombshell Dynasty Coach by night. I love and am extremely passionate about both of my identities. I do higher level programming automation controls on one end and on the other I help change peoples lives for the better including my own. One day these two incomes will match. What do I do at that point?

Do’s and Don’ts with PCOS & Infertility Diet

Nutrition : Dos and Don’ts for PCOS and Infertility

Changing eating habits and getting more exercise helps to manage PCOS Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome - Five to 10 percent of young women have this hormonal disorder. Women with PCOS often have insulin resistance resulting in too much insulin in the blood. Excess insulin has been related to an increase in production of androgen, a male hormone made in fat cells, ovaries and adrenal glands. The result being a combination of the following symptoms!
  • Irregular menstrual periods
  • Hair growth on the face, chest, stomach, back, thumbs or toes
  • Acne, oily skin and dandruff
  • Weight gain
  • Weakness or excess hunger
  • Hair loss
  • Infertility because of lack of ovulation
  • Depression due to appearance and/or infertility…
Diet for PCOS Changing eating habits and getting more exercise helps to manage PCOS. By just losing 5-10 percent of weight you can get normal menstrual cycles, regulate blood sugar, and increase chances of conceiving a baby. HOW TO DO IT ? Eat more whole-grain foods, fruits, vegetables, lean meats and low-fat or fat-free milk, cheese or yogurt. If you are up for it, quit drinking milk all together and switch to UN-sweetened almond milk or coconut milk. These foods help lower your blood sugar, improve your body’s use of insulin and normalize hormone levels. Important diet tips for PCOS and Infertility:
  • Don’t skip meals. Eat three major meals with snacks in between.
  • Change the composition of each meal by including fruit and vegetable
  • A protein source in every meal is a must. Protein sources include egg whites, lean meat, fish, nuts, whole grains, low fat cheese and whey protein. This is where you will get your essential fats. Believe it or not your body NEEDS fat.
  • Get regular physical activity , it will alleviate many symptoms of PCOS and improves lean mass in the body.
  • Take a prenatal or multi vitamin.
  • Avoid excessive amounts of Caffeine.
  • Avoid Soy!! It mimics estrogen and the goal is to regulate hormones, not jack them up.

Have PCOS? – Is Fruit Your Friend?

Of course Fruit is good for you. It is loaded with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. That being said, women with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) must be cautious when eating fruit. This is because we usually have insulin resistance or some type of blood sugar issue like hypoglycemia, pre-diabetes or diabetes. Fruit is an important part of our diets, but eating it frequently and in large portions can spike blood sugar levels which cause the body to produce too much insulin (which can lead to insulin resistance and other health conditions over time). This is due to the fact that the body quickly uses up the sugar (fructose) found in fruit – that’s why it’s known as a “simple carb.” Simple carbs give you energy quickly and then the "avalanche effect" sets in. So eat fruit in moderation. PCOS and diet changes Here are some pointers for eating fruit if you have PCOS:
  1. Eat fruits low on the Glycemic Index (www.glycemicindex.com). You want to choose foods with a number lower than 50. These fruits will have a slower-digesting effect on your body, thus producing less insulin when consuming and keeping blood sugar levels steady. These foods include apples, berries, kiwis, etc. Avoid melon fruit varieties.
  2. Eat fruits before noon (12:00pm) or 1:00pm at the latest. The earlier you eat fruits, the more readily your body will use up their energy. You may find that eating fruit later in the day will cause your blood sugar to spike, thus causing fatigue and, worst of all, food cravings. If you have ever had mid-night cravings, you know what I am talking about.
  3. Always eat fruit with some form of a protein. Never, ever eat fruit alone! I like to mix a bag of berries with nuts (walnuts or almonds).
So at the end of the day, yes fruit is your friend but in moderation and when paired with protein. So don't swear off fruit just be mindful of how much and when you eat it. There are so many benefits of fruit, we just need to make sure the dis benefits are kept in check. Check out some of my personal recipes on my nutrition page.

Productive week for this Beachbody Coach

This has been one great week! My shakeology detox cleanse has helped me go 1 whole week without coffee, actually I had one cup. But tremendously better than the normal pot of coffee to myself every morning. And not one headache, thank god! Shakeology is my savior. My daily meals consist if 3 shakeology shakes and chicken wraps, lots if hot sauce of course! I also had a remarkable change in my skin this week. It turns out that all the damn coffee I have been drinking was causing my back to breakout. Glad that is going away. Also exciting is that the Beachbody Event "Summit" in Vegas is in a few short weeks and I found the perfect dress. A size 5 none the less. I still can't believe I was wearing a 12 this time last year. I have also been getting lots of feedback from my other coaches and customers that they too are looking and feeling great. Some have lost some serious lbs and inches! Those calls and messages make my day. So Looking back at the past week, I can honestly say that it was really great! 20130604-085127.jpg 20130604-085135.jpg 20130604-085149.jpg
